Liam Lavery, originally from Ireland, began working professionally as a musician at an early age, receiving recognition as a composer and performer before focusing on acting, directing and musical theatre in London and throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. Upon moving into education, he set his sights abroad and took up management positions in international schools in the United Arab Emirates and in Spain, where he still resides. He is currently a director at an online school for high performance athletes.
Liam is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and for breaking the enduring stigma surrounding mental illnesses. He draws on his own personal experiences with mental health to help drive the conversation and encourage openness through his work in education. Having worked with many young people who have suffered with mental illness, he has found that by sharing his own story it helps others feel comfortable to talk about how they are feeling. He truly believes in the fact that talking about it is the first step towards saving lives and he is, therefore, both delighted and proud to be a part of Kill the Silence.
In his spare time, Liam enjoys being in nature with his rescue pup Elfi, reading and listening to, or playing, music. He practices meditation and CrossFit as well as taking part in as many obstacle course races a year as his schedule allows.

Andy Ryan is a British-Swiss national and is based in Zurich. He grew up in the west of Switzerland, where he attended the International School of Geneva. After reading Geography at Cambridge University, he joined JP Morgan Chase's private banking team in Geneva, before being posted by the bank to its New York headquarters. Andy left the financial world in 2010 to seek more purpose and passion in his work. After a period of self-reflection, he decided to dedicate himself to innovation and entrepreneurship and founded a venture-backed technology startup within the Travel & Tourism space. During the next few years, he grew the company to a user base in over 120 countries, and a passionate team spread across four continents. While building his business, he discovered a passion for talent and human capital. Eventually, a lack of funding meant that he, unfortunately, had to let go of his whole team and wind down the business. This painful but formative experience informs much of the strategic work he does today with young companies, in his role as a talent and leadership consultant, and a coach to young founders. One of the key lessons he shares with them is the importance of always maintaining mental health and wellbeing as a very top priority, and never to lose sight of this as pressure and expectations build. Andy currently sits on the governing board of the International School of Geneva, and previously chaired the board of his own startup, and sat on the board of a Latin American organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship on the continent.
